Assignments In the final stage of implementing a marketing strategy, employees need to be assigned specific activities related to specific programs based on their role in the company or department. For example, if we had to break down the Latest Mailing Database initiative "create a blog space" into tasks, it would look something like the following: Create page structure and design Design page and blog post templates Create a content strategy for your blog Choose a topic Write an article on a topic Edit content Add CTAs and images release RACI matrix Example RACI diagram from TheDigitalProjectManager The "RACI Matrix" is a diagram that maps tasks and plans against 4 roles: (R) Responsible – A person responsible for carrying out a task and making decisions about it. It is possible to assign the "responsible" role to more than 1 person, but it is best practice to keep the number of people involved to the minimum required. (A) Accountable – The person is responsible for the task and its completion. They didn't do the work, but it was their responsibility to make sure it was done. It is strongly recommended that each program has only one lead. (C) Consulting - This person assists the person in charge by providing information, insights and guidance. For example, if you're a copywriter, when writing about a complex technical product, it's advisable to consult the product development team before reading Google and trying to get it all on your own. (I) Informed – A person who is not directly involved in the task but whose outcomes may affect them or their work. Therefore, they should be informed in a timely manner about the progress of the task. Often, communicating in this context is a way to ease the internal knowledge sharing process.
